I’d like to introduce you to Dana
Dana came to me looking for help to loose weight, eat a better diet and have more energy. We thought the 30 Day Challenge would be a great motivator for her to stay focused and on track to achieve her goal.
Here’s her story…
My name is Dana-Marie Radke. I am a 33 year old nurse and work full time shift work. I am happily married and live in Hamilton, Ontario. From the age of 5 years old until my 20′s I was heavily into dancing and later mixed martial arts. l had to stop due to my school and then work schedule as it became difficult to keep up a competitive sport life style. In the past 5 years I have been slowly gaining weight and losing flexibility despite trying to keep up a healthy active lifestyle. I have also just recently recovered from hip surgery and have been diagnosed with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome which affects my hormone levels. Add all of this to night shifts and shifts where I sometimes barely get a chance to eat, and you have a recipe for weight gain and disaster. I don’t eat junk food, I’m not a coffee drinker, tea drinker or even drink alcohol and i’ve never smoked.
My goal is to tone up, lose the flab, and get back into shape so I can dance again and have better flexibility and more energy. With Tanya’s help I’m hoping to learn to eat properly (specially with shift work) and find out what exercises I should be doing for my body type.
